I just started to read tarot cards, and I'm the only one who uses my deck. Do I have to ';cleanse'; them after each reading if it's only on myself? What if I'm doing a reading on someone else, but they don't touch the cards? Do I have to cleanse them?
Oh, and what exactly do you do when you're cleansing them? Do you have to have crystals and such to do it, or can you just shuffle them?
Yea, I'm new to this. =pDo I have to cleanse tarot cards?
Hello
Cleansing the cards is a personal thing. If you create chaos into the deck - separating it into 2 or 3 piles between different people or questions you at least get rid of the old card order. It stops the same cards from keep coming up.
You can do as above, you can just shuffle them, you can do what ever you feel drawn to, some methods are daft %26amp; intricate, others simple %26amp; down to earth.

You should cleanse them after someone else touches them.
That's pretty much the only time you need to.
There are several ways, but I just ground and center, hold my deck in my palms, and visualize pushing the other person's energies out from the deck.
It's pretty simple.
Have fun.
=)
I dont't feel the need to cleanse my cards as I am the only one who touches them. If someone else used them then I might leave them with a crystal sitting on them or maybe even hold them in the smoke of an incense stick to clear any negative energies out of them.
Very few people cleanse their tarot cards except for the first time they get them. After that, they only shuffle them.
Unless you sneezed on them or spilled a drink, they should be good to go.
I am constantly amused by the things people believe in, whether it is religious or just silly.
oooh.... thanks, I was doing tarrot cards in a group this one time, and the person who owned them was like, freaking out being like DON'T TOUCH! Makes more sense now...
I just run mine through the dishwasher with some Cascade detergent crystals. Or you can used cast a Scourgify (Scouring) Charm.
Try Lysol or Fantastic. Either work well.
