Has anyone used a colon cleanse or a detox cleanse for their system and it actually worked? If so what brand ?

No I haven't. I wouldn't want my asshole to blow out.Has anyone used a colon cleanse or a detox cleanse for their system and it actually worked? If so what brand ?
I was just researching this today. According to a survey, Enuvia is supposed to be the best. I am going to give it a try.Has anyone used a colon cleanse or a detox cleanse for their system and it actually worked? If so what brand ?
dude its horrible, expect to be in the bathroom at least a day and a half. i don't remember the brand, my doctor gave it to me. at least mentally you feel better knowing you got that popcorn kernel thats been stuck in your colon for the past 15 years out. gross but true
The question is ';worked'; for what problem? If constipation is the problem, then there are many natural ways to improve elimination. Increasing water intake, and eating more fiberous foods is a start; being more active (walking) helps too.

If you feel that a cleanse is necessary for overall health reasons, then these colon/detox cleanses, with herbs such as Senna Leaf, Buckthorn bark, and Uva Ursi leaf may be what you're looking for. A search for ';colon cleanse'; yields a large number of heavily advertised products with many testimonials. I would not invest in an herbal program without some guidance from a holistic health practitioner.

In summary, I'd find a local holistic health practitioner and ask their advice about your condition/problem. Detailed health information is best obtained in a dialog with someone who understands your specific concerns (obese?, pregnant?, allergic?)--these details can be critical for supplement recommendations.

P.S. You'll find that the mainstream healthcare system takes a dim view of cleansing. Just recognize that their worldview is slow to accept unorthodox ideas, it's the way science progresses. Don't take it personally!
You shouldn't be ';colon cleansing'; at all. Ever!

Worthless quackery. There is NO scientific evidence to support ANY need to ';cleanse'; your colon. Your colon cleanses itself, and you DO NOT get any ';impacted'; fecal material in there AT ALL. It is all a MYTH.

READ this before you waste any more time on this bullsh!t ';therapy';:

As far as ';detoxing'; goes, what nonsense. Your body ';detoxes'; itself constantly. Drinking lots of water will do NOTHING to speed the process, despite what some fools believe. Funky herbal preparations will do nothing special either.

Here's the plan:

1. You need to decide what ';toxin'; (or toxins) you want to get rid of.

2. Have a laboratory MEASURE how much of this ';toxin'; you have now.

3. Try the ';detox';.

4. Get re-measured for the ';toxin';

I can safely predict NO difference. The whole concept of ';toxins'; and ';detoxing'; is ridiculous nonsense. Save your money.

I would do this, however, I would have to do it in a room that protected the outside world from radioactive toxic waste.
I've used cleansing teas and WOW. It's crazy the gross things that come out of your body. I do a tea cleanse once a week, it's very gentle, you aren't on the toilet all day, and it makes me feel better. :)
