Mayans want to 'cleanse' area of 'bad spirits' after Bush is gone? Is this a social issue?

I have to decide whether that topic is social..geographic..economic..or cultural.Mayans want to 'cleanse' area of 'bad spirits' after Bush is gone? Is this a social issue?
It's religious therefore cultural. Superstitious heathens, who never acomplished anything for their own people, scratching around the ruins of a temple from a failed system of belief.Mayans want to 'cleanse' area of 'bad spirits' after Bush is gone? Is this a social issue?
Cultural.

Funny what happens when one country loudly declares itself vastly superior in every way to its neighbours.

Then expects that people to like them and respect them.

Sounds like my neighbour, and I sure as heck don't like that jerk.
It's cultural or social if it's true. Where did you hear this?
First of all this is old news.

Beyond that you do realize that the US caused a coup during the Eisenhower administration that resulted in a 40 year civil war of which there was genocide against the Mayan people. I have seen Mayan cleansing ceremonies done in relation to the events with the war and I would assume it is associated with that.

Want more info than that? Email me.
Sounds like a religious issue to me. Closest heading would be cultural as specific tribal concerns are being raised. Don't know the Mayan word for ';Amen,'; but we voters can use all the help we can get.
