Apply toner after cleansing face?

First time buying and using a cleanser. I bought the neutrogena oil-free cleanser, and I was wondering, after we use it to cleanse the face, do we apply toner after to close the pores (neutrogena brand) or just leave it be? Thanks.Apply toner after cleansing face?

I use the nutrogena toner myself, and I like it. Not only does it close the pores, but it picks up the dirt the cleanser may have left behind. Use a cotton pad, not a ball.
